Collecting materials can be a difficult process, but we cannot stress the importance of good materials strongly enough.
The effectiveness of your web site hinges on the impact it has on the perspective client. Old, small, or low-quality images will create a negative effect; clients will be less likely to stay. Help us design a spectacular website for you by providing good quality images and ideas to get started.
- An idea of the look that best fits your property (Elegant, Rustic, Victorian, Contemporary, etc.).
- Colors, color schemes or design styles you would like for the site.
- Any notes you may have on the over-all look you want for your site.
- A list of web site addressess for sites that you do and do not like; include details about what you do and do not like in each.
- At least one large image for the home page header and possibly another small image to be placed within the text on that page. Please send us all relevant images that you have so that our designers can choose the best image(s) for the design.
- Digital photos are acceptable. Please submit images larger than 640x480 in .jpg, .gif, .bmp, .psd, or .tif format.
- Images from magazines, rack cards, and other print materials are not suitable for digital reproduction. Our scanners will read any/all flaws in the print, and they will be highly visible on the screen. Please send us originals.
- Please do not write on the back of prints because the scanner will read through the image and see your writing. Let us know if you would like any/all of your prints returned to you.
- Your logo. If you have an existing logo, we require a digital copy of the image or we will need to re-create it. Logos on business cards are not acceptable for this purpose. Please remember that copyrighted photographs/images and other such materials cannot be used without permission.
When we design a web site, we incorporate elements that support good search engine performance, ease of navigation and compatibility with multiple web browsers. We approach each project with an open mind and allow you to take an active role in creating the visual style that most suitably communicates the core message of your enterprise. For us this is an essential facet of effective design.
The design time is minimized when the client:
- Provides comprehensive design materials in an organized fashion.
- Provides text for the web site in digital format.
- Provides feedback as the design process goes along
The design may take longer if the client:
- Desires complicated elements like slideshows, hover buttons, flash, virtual tours, pdf pages, etc.
- Does not provide us with design expectations such as colors, logo, or layout before we begin work, or if the client changes his/her mind frequently.
Please provide us with information to create your web site. This usually includes: a brochure or comparable text describing your establishment, pictures, logos, quotations or testimonials, descriptions and rates, policies, and any additional information you would like included. If you have specific design elements and/or color schemes in mind, please include those. If you would like to e-mail materials, please send them to:
